(For Friday Favorites we spotlight past recipes that you may have missed, and this delicious-looking Slow Cooker Lemon-Garlic Chicken and White Bean Stew from The Perfect Pantry was posted on the day Slow Cooker from scratch officially launched, just over one year ago, and what a year of slow cooker deliciousness it's been.  Hope you enjoy this one if you missed it the first time.)

I'm thrilled to feature this fabulous sounding Slow Cooker Lemon-Garlic Chicken and White Bean Stew from The Perfect Pantry, where my friend Lydia has an approach to slow cooker recipes that's just like mine.  This recipe from Lydia has chicken thighs simmered with onions, garlic, red bell pepper, and lemon zest, and lemon juice and beans are added when the chicken is done, and the whole dish is ready in under four hours.

  2. Congratulations on your new slow cooker site - love the idea! Lydia's Lemon-Garlic Chicken and White Bean Stew sounds delicious. Perfect timing as I'm collecting recipes for my next soup class at our local senior center and they requested some sort of hearty chicken soup/stew.

  13. I loved this recipe and would give 5 stars, except my kids universally disliked it - and they are NOT picky eaters. I think it was the lemon that put them off.

    1. Sounds like a great recipe for adults though, especially people who like lemon.
