Slow Cooker Turkey with Mustard Sauce Recipe from Simply Recipes

This delicious slow cooker dish starts with inexpensive turkey thighs braised in a mustard-flavored broth.  (Photo from Simply Recipes.)

One of the things to love about slow cooker recipes is how they can turn inexpensive cuts of meat into gourmet dishes, and this comforting Turkey with Mustard Sauce from Simply Recipes starts with turkey thighs, which are always a bargain.  The turkey is simmered with parsnips, carrots, and onions in a slightly-spicy mustard broth and when the turkey is tender potatoes are  added.  Then the meat is shredded and some chopped greens and a spicier mustard is stirred in right at the end.

I hope you enjoy trying this from-scratch slow cooker recipe!  Use this link to get the recipe for Turkey with Mustard Sauce from Simply Recipes.

How wonderful! I'm a slow cooker fan, and I've been actively looking for new recipes that fit my family's various dietary needs & preferences (We have a diabetic kidney patient, an auto-immune-suffering low carber limiting fats and additives, and a picky teenaged boy whose girlfriend has celiac disease.) and our budget. I really appreciate your recipe tags; they are very helpful! And I'm thrilled that you are focusing on "made from scratch," which lets me know I won't be wading through cans of condensed soup and tons of other chemicals.

I've subscribed and am already excited to try several of the recipes you've posted.
