| Slow Cooker Beef Stew with just a touch of coffee flavor! (Photo from Amanda's Cookin.) |
It's spring, so just when you think it's salad weather there will be a cold day (like today in Salt Lake) when hot beef stew sounds like the perfect thing for dinner. What's special about this Crockpot Java Beef Stew with Mushrooms and Baby Reds from Amanda's Cookin' is the small amount of coffee that's added to the beef broth to make the liquid in the stew. Amanda says "If you haven’t heard of adding coffee to beef dishes, you are missing out," and I think she may be on to something here!
