(For Friday Favorites we spotlight past recipes that you may have missed, and I love the sound of this Pakistani Beef Curry.  And if it's really hot where you are I think you could eat this flavorful beef in lettuce wraps or on top of a salad for a delicious Slow Cooker Summer Dinner; enjoy!)

One look at Lydia's photo of this Pakistani "Old Clothes" Beef Curry from The Perfect Pantry and I wanted to reach into the computer and take a bite!  This dish has the same kind of spices that make Indian food so flavorful, and it's one of those recipes where you just put everything in the slow cooker in the the morning and let it cook all day.  Best of all, if you make this when it's hot outside, using the slow cooker keeps the house nice and cool.

Ingredients for this Recipe:
  • Onions, beef brisket
  • fresh ginger root
  • garlic
  • powdered ginger
  • cardamom pods
  • bay leaves
  • cinnamon stick
  • garam masala
  • ground fennel
  • ground red chile pepper
  • nutmeg
  • turmeric
  • black or kosher salt
  • canola oil
