Slow Cooker Recipe for Pakistani "Old Clothes" Beef Curry (Nihari)
Pakistani "Old Clothes" Beef Curry cooks all day and when you get home just serve over rice!

One look at Lydia's photo of this Pakistani "Old Clothes" Beef Curry from The Perfect Pantry and I wanted to reach into the computer and take a bite!  This dish has the same kind of spices that make Indian food so flavorful, and it's one of those recipes where you just put everything in the slow cooker in the the morning and let it cook all day.  Best of all, if you make this when it's hot outside, using the slow cooker keeps the house nice and cool.

Ingredients for this Recipe:
Onions, beef brisket, fresh ginger root, garlic, powdered ginger, cardamom pods, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, garam masala, ground fennel, ground red chile pepper, nutmeg, turmeric, salt, black or kosher salt, canola oil
