Slow Cooker Smoky Pork Tacos with Avocado and Feta from Dinner du Jour

Slow-Cooker Smoky Pork Tacos with Avocado and Feta
Smoky Pork Tacos ala Rick Bayless' Pork Tinga Tacos (Photo from Dinner du Jour.)

Rick Bayless is famous for bringing authentic Mexican flavors to all parts of the world, and Kristen from Dinner du Jour tried this recipe for Smoky Pork Tacos with Avocado and Feta in Ireland, bemoaning the fact that this was probably the closest she was going to get to Mexico for a while.  This variation of the famous Rick Bayless Pork Tinga Tacos has so many interesting flavors going on with the pork, including Chipotle chiles, fire-roasted tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, and Chorizo, and everything about this recipe sounds amazing to me!

I hope you enjoy trying this from-scratch slow cooker recipe! Use this link to get the recipe for Smoky Pork Tacos with Avocado and Feta from Dinner du Jour.

FWIW, Kristin is in Ireland, not the UK.

Even harder to get chipotle etc here.

Alby, thanks for letting me know; I will edit the post. I can imagine that those types of spices aren't abundant in Ireland.

Even though I'm not a pork eater, I have to admit that the flavors in this recipe look so appealing.

Lydia, I am thinking this would work well with chicken thighs too!
