Slow Cooker Vegetarian Maple-Sriracha Baked Beans from Kitchen Treaty

Slow Cooker Vegetarian Maple-Sriracha Baked Beans
Vegetarian Baked Beans with Sriracha?  Yes, please!  (Photo from Kitchen Treaty.)

There's a big holiday week coming up if you're in the U.S. and I'm thinking that these Slow Cooker Vegetarian Maple-Sriracha Baked Beans from Kitchen Treaty might be just the thing to spice up your Fourth of July menu without heating up the house.  The beans are also a perfect Meatless Monday option for anyone who's looking for ideas for that.   Kare from Kitchen Treaty starts with soaked dried beans that she cooks on the stove; then she combines them with maple syrup, ketchup, Sriracha, and some other seasonings in the slow cooker.  For this time of year when you really don't want to turn on the stove, I'd follow instructions for Dried Beans Cooked in the Slow Cooker to cook the beans overnight, then drain the beans and continue with this recipe.

I hope you enjoy trying this from-scratch slow cooker recipe!   Use this link to get the recipe for Slow Cooker Vegetarian Maple-Sriracha Baked Beans from Kitchen Treaty.

I didn't even need to read the recipe to know I'd love these beans. Maple syrup and Sriracha? Oh, yes!

I finally got Sriracha and I always have maple syrup. Sweet and spicy sounds good to me! While hubby is not a fan of baked beans, this recipe seems like a dish that would be great to make for one of my support group meetings. :-) Thanks for sharing, Kalyn!
