There are all kinds of Crock-Pot cooks in the world, and if you're one who likes things with only  a few ingredients that can cook for a long time, this Simple Shredded Beef Brisket in the Crock-Pot from Shockingly Delicious may just become a favorite.  Dorothy says the onion caramelizes and adds wonderful flavor, and you can use the shredded beef in lots of ways, including the barbecued beef sandwiches shown above.  Dorothy uses purchased barbecue sauce, but I'd use my own Low-Sugar Barbecue Sauce.

  1. I've never met a brisket recipe I didn't love, and the easier it is, the more I love it. Rather than heating up the kitchen in summer, the slow cooker does a perfect job of cooking brisket.

  2. Lydia,
You are EXACTLY right! Simple and easy wins with brisket. And the slow cooker really saves the day during hot summer months.
