Slow Cooker Classic Collections: Ideas for Turkey Breast in the Slow Cooker

Slow Cooker Turkey Breast
Lots of good ideas for Slow Cooker Turkey Breast from some of my favorite bloggers!  (Photo above from Kitchen Parade.)

Turkey day is approaching in the U.S., and I know that plenty of people out there would like to cook Thanksgiving Dinner at home, but feel intimidated by the idea of cooking a big turkey.  If you have those thoughts, I'd like to recommend cooking a turkey breast in the slow cooker.  The turkey doesn't need to be watched while it cooks, which frees you up to concentrate on the other parts of the meal.  And slow cooker turkey breast is practically foolproof.  I first tried it in 2008, and I've cooked turkey breast that way ever since, even for an easy dinner when it wasn't Thanksgiving.

First up, the Slow Cooker Turkey Breast from Kitchen Parade shown at the top of the post, which also has links to recipe for Turkey Gravy and How to Make Turkey Stock.

This recipe for Slow Cooker Turkey Breast with Gravy from Andrea Meyers has plenty of herbs and a little lemon flavoring the turkey breast, and this gravy recipe adds a few tablespoons of wine.

The Slow Cooker Perfect Turkey Breast from 365 Days of Slow Cooking has a touch of soy sauce to add flavor.

There is no canned soup in this Slow Cooker Creamy Turkey Dinner from A Year of Slow Cooking, and it does sound delicious!

Also from A Year of Slow Cooking, this recipe for CrockPot Turkey Breast has to be good because the recipe includes both butter and wine!

This Special Turkey Breast was given that name by the son of Shirley from Gluten-Free Easily.  I'm not going to give away the secret ingredient but I bet you'll be intrigued, and I think this sounds wonderful.

Gina says this Crock Pot Turkey Breast with Gravy from Skinnytaste was a hit with the whole family, even the toddler.

And finally, my own recipe for How to Cook a Turkey Breast in the CrockPot also features instructions for South Beach Diet Friendly Turkey Gravy for those who are interested.

What a terrific assortment of slow cooker turkey breast recipes, Kalyn! As one who loves the white meat of the turkey, a turkey breast is definitely my preferred way to get my turkey fix ... especially with the ease and delightful results that come from slow cooking. Thanks so much for including my "special" recipe!

Hi Kaylyn-
Thanks for the round up of turkey recipes! After looking at all of them, I decided to try yours and it turned out great. I couldn't believe that it would take only two hours or so, but you were right on! I used my new Hamilton Beach cooker with the temperature prob and it worked ( whew! Maiden voyage on this).
We loved the tasty gravy, too.
Thanks again!
Jennifer
