The section for Appetizers and Snacks on this site doesn't have too many entries, so with the holiday season in full swing, I started looking for recipes for holiday dips. I quickly noticed I didn't find a lot of food bloggers posting slow cooker dips, and that the ones who did often weren't using "from-scratch" ingredients. I'm guessing a lot of you make dips in the slow cooker without really using a recipe, just by throwing a few packaged ingredients together and heating them up. And something hot in the slow cooker can be a nice addition to a holiday party, even if it's not completely made from scratch, so I decided I would still share some tasty-sounding ideas from A Year of Slow Cooking and 365 Days of Slow Cooking, two crock-pot queens who both happen to be personal friends. (And if you're a food blogger who has a good recipe for a slow cooker dip, please leave the link in the comments and I'll be happy to add your recipe to this collection!)
Let's start with Slow Cooker Spinach Artichoke Dip from 365 Days of Slow Cooking shown in the photo above, which does use a jar of Alfredo sauce, but still sounds tasty with frozen spinach, canned artichoke hearts, mayo, lemon juice, and several types of cheese.

I found a slightly different take on CrockPot Spinach and Artichoke Dip at A Year of Slow Cooking. This one just has canned artichoke hearts, frozen spinach, mayo, sour cream, two types of cheese, and some jalapeno slices for a little kick to the dip.

This One Dish Slow Cooker Velveeta and Rotel Sausage Dip from 365 Days of Slow Cooking has to be one of the simplest dips ever, with the sausage cooked in the slow cooker.
