Slow Cooker Jamaican Spiced Chicken Stew from Jeanette's Healthy Living

Crock Pot Jamaican Spiced Chicken Stew seasoned with allspice, thyme, pepper, and curry powder.  (Photo from Jeanette's Healthy Living.)

When you talk about Jamaican food, most people probably think of spicy hot Jerk seasoning, but not all Jamaican food is burn-your-mouth spicy.  This Crock Pot Jamaican Spiced Chicken Stew from Jeanette's Healthy Living uses traditional Jamaican seasonings like allspice, thyme, pepper, and curry powder to give lots of flavor to chicken legs and thighs, and tomatoes and black beans turn the dish into a stew.  If you'd like more heat, serve some hot sauce on the side.

Love the flavors in this stew. I've been playing around with Jamaican spice combinations lately.
