Crock-Pot Brown Sugar and Balsamic Pork Roast from Barefeet in the Kitchen

Crock-Pot Brown Sugar and Balsamic Pork Roast
Slow Cooker Pork Roast with added deliciousness from brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and soy sauce.  (Photo from Barefeet in the Kitchen.)

Pork roast and slow cookers are always a great combination, but this Crock Pot Brown Sugar and Balsamic Pork Roast from Barefeet in the Kitchen manages to make a good thing even better by adding a delicious glaze made of brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and a touch of thickener.  You cook the roast until it's tender enough to shred apart, and then serve with the glaze drizzled over.  Don't you think that sounds fantastic?

Ingredients for this recipe:
Pork sirloin tip roast, ground sage, garlic powder, kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, water, brown sugar, arrowroot powder or corn starch, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce

  2. Lydia, the brown sugar makes it a no for me, but I'm wondering how it would work with Stevia Granulated Sweetener. I agree, looks delicious!

  3. Thanks for sharing this recipe - I made it for dinner tonight (yes, with the sugar) and it is delicious. If you aren't strictly SB, I calculated that 1 T of the sauce is about 20 calories and a little goes a long way. You are my go-to recipe blogger!

  4. Thanks Amy, you're so sweet to say that! And good to have confirmation that this is as good as it looked. I might use partly granulated Stevia in the sauce but I'd have to have a little bit of brown sugar!
