It's chili weather in many parts of the U.S., and chili is one of those dishes that's just made for the slow cooker.  I'm intrigued by this Slow Cooker Quinoa Chicken Chili from Sweet Treats and More; adding nutritious quinoa to chili is such a great idea.  If you're not familiar with Quinoa, it's a high-protein gluten-free seed that's often cooked as a grain.  If you're looking for a slightly different take on chili, give this one a try!

Ingredients for this recipe:

  1. I never think of using quinoa in my slow cooker, because it cooks so quickly. Good to know it can hold up to the longer cooking time.

  2. Lydia, I haven't tried it either. I like the idea of using it as a thickener.

  3. Can you give more information for the amount you use of each ingredient?

  4. If you click the link it will take you to the original blog where you'll find the complete recipe.

  5. Quinoa is a wonderful new ingredient I now love! This makes a great thick chili that you can easily make vegetarian or with beef. #chili #quinoa #blogpost #recipe #slowcooker
