I was thinking we might be done with soup and stew recipes until fall and then yesterday in Utah it absolutely poured rain and hail and I was wishing I had something warm and comforting in the slow cooker.  It was the word Sriracha in the recipe title that got my attention with this Honey Sriracha Beef Stew from The Perfect Pantry, and if you're not familiar with this spicy Asian hot sauce, it adds a delicious flavor and spiciness to anything you use it in.

And if you do love Sriracha, you'll know why I wanted to call this recipe Honey SRIRACHA beef stew!  I also love the other Asian ingredients in the gravy part of this stew and the use of dried mushrooms for extra flavor; sounds like a wonderful combination.

Ingredients for this recipe:
  • Dried mushrooms
  • beef for stew
  • flour
  • oil
  • garlic
  • ginger root
  • red onion
  • carrots
  • soy sauce
  • rice vinegar
  • frozen pearl onions
  • honey
  • Sriracha
  • kosher salt and fresh black pepper
