Even though Korean Food is becoming more common, I think Korean cooking is still a mystery to many people, even those who've cooked other types of Asian food.  I certainly count myself among those who'd like to learn more about it, so for a while now I've been following a blog called Korean Bapsang, with the tagline "A Korean Mom's Home Cooking."  I've featured healthy recipes from this blogger quite a few times in my Monthly Low-Glycemic Recipe Round-Ups on Kalyn's Kitchen, and when I saw she had slow cooker recipes I was excited to share them here. This recipe for Slow Cooker Koream Chicken (Dakjjim) from Korean Bapsang includes a whole cut up chicken and vegetables braised in a sweet and savory sauce, with a few optional hot peppers for a bit of spice, and I think this sounds amazing.

Ingredients for this recipe:
Chicken, potatoes, carrot, onion, mushrooms, garlic cloves, ginger slices, dried whole red chiles (optional), scallions, sesame oil, sesame seeds.  Sauce: soy sauce, dark brown sugar, oyster sauce, rice wine, honey, pepper.  Garnish:
