Some things really are the same all over the world, and even though my friend Kay from Kayotic Kitchen lives in The Netherlands, she loves to use the slow cooker to get dinner on the table for her family. Kay says one thing she loves most about using a slow cooker is the way it fills your house with wonderful smells, and I'm enjoying the thought of how amazing this recipe for Slow Cooker Orange and Sesame Chicken Drumsticks must smell when you lift the lid on the slow cooker.
I love Asian flavors like the ones Kay uses in this recipe. I also like the way she browned the chicken drumsticks before they go in the slow cooker with the flavorful sauce (although Kay says you can do it without browning the chicken if you prefer.) Thickening the sauce later with a bit of cornstarch is also optional; you can choose to have a thinner sauce. Kay loves this served over noodles with crunchy vegetables, and that sounds like it would be great for a family dinner; hope you enjoy!
