Ingredients for this CrockPot Recipe:
- olive oil
- turkey Italian sausage, hot or milk
- chopped onion
- minced garlic
- ground fennel
- Italian herb blend
- canned chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- canned diced tomatoes
- canned crushed tomatoes
- basil pesto
- salt and fresh-ground black pepper
- freshly-grated Parmesan for serving (optional)
Recommended Slow Cooker Size:
I used my six-quart Ninja Cooker for this recipe, but any 4-5 quart slow cooker will also work.
