Bacon Cheeseburger Slow Cooker Meatballs; I think this sounds like a great idea for dinner! And don’t you think this is a dinner the whole family will enjoy!
For Friday Favorites we feature past recipes you may have missed, and what makes this Friday Favorites post especially fun for me is that I recently met Christine from Cook the Story at BlogHerFood! Just like so many of her recipes, this definitely sounds like a winner!
I’m guessing this recipe for Bacon Cheeseburger Slow Cooker Meatballs is going to be a winner for everyone who loves bacon cheeseburgers, and if you consider how many burger places there are in America, that’s quite a few people. The recipe features from-scratch meatballs with lean ground beef and bacon that are wrapped around a hunk of cheese and then cooked in the slow cooker in a from-scratch tomato sauce. Christine says she had originally planned to serve the meatballs on a bun, but her husband asked for pasta, so take your choice on that.
And if you want to make this a lower-carb version of Bacon Cheeseburger Meatballs, just switch out the breadcrumbs for something like almond meal or another low-carb option!
