And it’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of Greek food, so when I spotted these Slow Cooker Greek Chicken Pita Pockets from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe on Pinterest, I knew I had to feature them here. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts cook with Greek seasonings on low until the chicken is fall-apart tender; then the chicken is shredded apart and served in pita pockets with yogurt, tomatoes, cucumbers, and red bell pepper. Doesn’t that sound like a perfect Summer Dinner?
Ingredients for this CrockPot Recipe:
- Onion
- garlic
- boneless and skinless chicken breasts
- lemon pepper
- dried oregano
- Allspice
- For serving: Pita pocket breads, plain yogurt, tomato, cucumber, red bell pepper.

I have made this before, very very similar recipe but from another site – everyone loved it but I could NOT help but notice that lemon pepper.. Am I the only one that thinks lemon pepper smells extraordinarily fake, almost like TRIX cereal? There HAS to be a natural substitute… maybe just lemon, lemon zest… and pepper? I had no idea I hated lemon pepper so much! Note everyone else adored the recipe, I just had to mention! haha
Jess, I am not a lemon pepper fan either; I'd just use regular pepper and some lemon zest.
Thanks Ed, so glad you enjoyed it!
My wife and I really enjoyed this. Dinner last night and having leftovers for lunch today. Used my mandolin to cut cucumber into matchsticks and added sliced black olives. Didn't have bell pepper or yogurt so omitted those, but VERY easy and yummy. A keeper!
