St. Patrick’s Day is one week away! I hope you’re planning to make Slow Cooker Corned Beef or Instant Pot Corned Beef to celebrate the holiday. But if you’re looking for another idea for an Irish-inspired dish this Instant Pot Sausage and Cabbage from Kalyn’s Kitchen is another easy recipe that uses ingredients often used in Irish cooking. And this easy recipe only needs one minute under pressure, making it pretty quick and easy to make!
And if you’re lucky enough to end up with leftovers, I might have liked this even more when I cooked the leftovers at high heat in a hot frying pan, which slightly browned the cabbage. If you can find traditional Irish sausage to make this, that would be great. But it was really good even with the beef Kielbasa we used!
What ingredients do you need for this recipe?
- olive oil
- pre-cooked sausage (I used all-beef Kielbasa.)
- cabbage
- butter
- chicken broth
- salt and fresh-ground black pepper
Why is this recipe a favorite for me?
My love for cabbage and sausage combined in a meal is pretty well-documented on Kalyn’s Kitchen, and I like most any dish that features one of these ingredients or combines them!
