(For Friday Favorites we spotlight past recipes that you may have missed, and this idea of browning group beef in the slow cooker with spicy taco seaonings is one that changed my life. I mostly use my taco meat for some kind of Taco Salad, but you can use this meat for tacos, burritos, or even beef enchiladas.)
When I discovered you could put raw ground beef into the slow cooker with spices and hot sauce, and a few hours later you’d have Slow Cooker Browns-in-the-Crockpot Spicy Ground Beef for Tacos, Burritos, and Taco Salad, it rocked my world! This is seriously one of my favorite slow cooker recipes out of the many I’ve posted on Kalyn’s Kitchen, and even though I already included it in the collection of 20 Recipes for Slow Cooker Beef Tacos from Food Bloggers, I love this recipe so much that I wanted to share it alone to be sure everyone sees it.
My version is pretty spicy, so if you’re cooking this for kids, I’d cut down on the hot sauce a little, but I promise, once you try this you will be hooked on this way of making taco meat!
Ingredients for this CrockPot Recipe:
