These Slow Cooker Cuban Sliders are a dad-friendly summer dinner to wish all the dads happy Father’s Day!
It’s Father’s Day in the U.S. and I hope you’re celebrating with your dad, the father or your kids, or just a dad who has influenced your life in some way. Since this is dad’s big day, I thought I’d share this idea for a Summer Dinner that definitely sounds like a dad-friendly meal. You can make these sliders all summer long and using the slow cooker will keep your house cool!
Slow Cooker Cuban Sliders from Bev Cooks are just the type of meat-loaded sandwiches that so many men seem to enjoy (and I’m guessing lots of women will like them too.) The Cuban part of the recipe comes from the pork that’s rubbed with cumin and oregano and cooked in the slow cooker with lime, onion, garlic, and orange juice, all classic Cuban flavors. Then that meat is shredded and served on slider rolls with thinly sliced ham and melted cheese, yum!
Ingredients for this CrockPot Recipe:
- lean pork shoulder
- dried oregano
- olive oil
- orange juice
- chicken stock
- sliced ham
- sliced swiss cheese
