A New Schedule for Slow Cooker from Scratch

So many good slow cooker recipes; so little time!

I created Slow Cooker from Scratch with a goal of inspiring people to cook more "from scratch" recipes in the slow cooker.  I started adding recipes on January 1, 2012, and then officially launched the site on February 15, and for the first few months I wanted to focus on building up a good collection of slow cooker recipe ideas.  I'm hoping that when you pull out your slow cooker and want a new recipe, this site will be a resource where you can always find something that looks interesting.  Now after nearly six months of a new tasty slow cooker idea every day, the site has featured almost 150 slow cooker recipes.

It was never my intent to keep up the schedule of a new recipe every day once I had built up a good collection of recipes because I know people are busy and sites that post too often can turn into too much of a good thing!  So starting this week, Slow Cooker from Scratch will now be posting new recipes on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday morning Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday mornings, and featuring a favorite recipe from the past for Friday Favorites.  The new schedule will keep new recipes up for two days, making it easier for readers to keep up with them, but will still keep a steady stream of new slow cooker ideas coming.  (There are four easy ways to subscribe to Slow Cooker from Scratch if you want to make sure you see every recipe.)

Thanks to everyone for your support of the site, and if you have feedback about the new schedule I'd love to hear about it in the comments!

Think the new posting schedule is great. I can't keep up with a daily recipe. I have more that I want to try than there are days in the week. Particularly in the summer when I crank up the grill. Thanks for the new site. Love it. Have made a number of the recipes with great success.

Thanks Bucky. I'm so glad you're enjoying the recipes and I appreciate the support of the new schedule. I can't keep up with all the things I want to try myself when I do it daily either.

This is a good move, Kalyn, as I'm sure you already know. I've bookmarked so many of the recipes already, it will take me quite some time to make them all. I look forward to many more!

Thanks for the support Christine! This was always my plan; I just wanted to get a good collection of recipes built up quickly!

The blogs I read/keep up with the most are the ones that don't post everyday. Great schedule!
