When it comes to any type of Mexican food, I'm a green sauce kind of gal.  This fondness for any sauce with tomatillos is what originally attracted me to these Slow Cooker Brisket Tacos with Green Sauce from Coconut and Lime.  Then I read Rachel's brilliant idea to add the onions, garlic, tomatillos, jalapenos, and parsley to the slow cooker with the brisket, so the meat creates its own sauce while it cooks.  Rachel is another food blogger who loves to use her slow cooker during the summer, and she says this might be her best slow cooker brisket recipe to date!

  1. I'm a huge fan of brisket made in the slow cooker, and though I don't love cilantro, I love tomatillo sauces, too. I recently made (but haven't posted yet) brisket tacos, a bit different from these, so now I'm going to try this recipe.

  2. Lydia, Rachel uses Italian Parsley in her sauce, so I'm thinking she may not be a cilantro fan either. Can't wait to see your tacos as well!
