One of my favorite things to do on the weekend after Thanksgiving is to take the turkey carcass with some onions, carrots, celery and a little Penzeys Turkey Soup Base and turn it into delicious Turkey Stock. Then I'll turn use the stock to make a big slow cooker full of turkey soup. I've already shared Ten Amazing Recipes for Slow Cooker Turkey Soup, but this Slow Cooker Turkey (or Chicken) Soup with Kale and Sweet Potatoes is another of my personal favorites from Kalyn's Kitchen. And if you make the turkey stock or turkey soup, I guarantee your house will smell wonderful.
Ingredients for this CrockPot Recipe:
- homemade turkey stock or homemade chicken stock (or use canned broth)
- Penzeys Turkey Soup Base (or chicken soup base, optional but recommended)
