This recipe for Slow Cooker Taco Chicken Bowls from Budget Bytes is definitely “Slow Cooker 101” according to Beth who writes this fabulous frugal cooking blog. I say that economical, easy, and tasty recipes like this one are one reason so many people love their slow cookers. You’ll need to cook the rice separately when you get home, but otherwise this meal cooks all day in the CrockPot while you’re out and about!
This flavorful Instant Pot Green Chile Pork Taco Bowl from Kalyn’s Kitchen features spicy green chile pork served on a bowl of cauliflower rice, and there are slow cooker instructions for this recipe as well. Family members can add the toppings they’d like, but I’d never skip the cheese and sour cream! And if you serve with cauliflower rice this can be a low-carb meal.

Taco Salad has to be one of the most popular options for a taco bowl, and this Chicken Taco Salad from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe is perfect for a lighter meal, and the tasty chicken can be made in the slow cooker, in the Instant Pot, or on the stove!
Another Taco Bowl is from Kalyn’s Kitchen is these Slow Cooker Turkey Taco Bowls that have brown rice. We served them with Tomato-Avocado Salsa with lime, which we thought was a great addition. If you’d like a lower-carb bowl, double the amount of turkey and use a bit less rice.

I've been reading your blog only a few short months, and this is the first time I'm posting to say this recipe was awesome!!!
I marinated the chicken and made a few slight changes, 2 cans of kidney beans and about 1 1/2 cups of fresh pico de gallo. I paired it with some brown rice in my rice cooker. My husband and 3 kids (9, 4, 2) loved this. It is sooo easy and the meat falls apart. Plus, it makes awesome leftovers, or is just as good in a burrito! thanks so much for posting all these great recipes!
